This chronology covers the years 1789 to 1800. It contains more than 850
entries, about 70 per year on average. The entries gather information from
many sources, which are indicated by the "full entry" button provided for
each entry when you search the chronology. The entries whose button reads
"full entry with additional details" provide information and sometimes
further reading suggestions.

offer overviews of the most prominent events of the 1790s. By putting many
