Lab 3: Device Management

Goals: Pracive with algorithms and techniques related to interrupt handling, the use of interrupts to facilitate concurrent processing, buffering, and optimization strategies for disk I/O.

Reading: Review Nutt Ch. 5.

Collaboration: As part of the intent of this lab is to encourage collaborative problem solving, you will complete this lab in teams of 2 and 3, as assigned by the instructor.

Work to be turned in:  Turn in your answers to the exercises above at the beginning of class on Friday, September 15.  Please turn in one paper per group and make sure it is legible.  (You may, of course, type your answers.)
