Monday, April 25: Web Accessibility

Due:  Project 4: UX specifications and prototyping

To prepare for class, skim

Then answer the following questions via email:

  1. How do the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines differ from the guidelines we read in our textbook?
  2. Briefly summarize the article by Mankoff, Fait, and Tran. What methods do the researchers use? What do they discover?
  3. What method(s) would you use to assess the accessibility of your project web site? Why those methods?
  4. What was the most important or surprising thing you learned?
  5. What questions would you like to discuss in class?

In class, we will discuss the readings and experiment with some of the tools listed below. Please bring a laptop or be ready to share one.

Wednesday, April 27: Web Browsing Behavior

To prepare for class, read
