- Comprehension: What methods are presented for assessing the state of the Internet? What conclusions are drawn?
- Synthesis: What is surprising or counter to conventional wisdom? What are the implications?

Friday, May 4: Architectural principles
Read:
Write a short response (2-3 paragraphs) contrasting the
forward-looking debate presented by Brown, Clark, and Trossen (2010)
with the historical view presented by Clark (1988). Reflect on whether
you support embedding values in the Internet or variable value sets,
and why.
