DrFu

DrFu on the Mac

An experimental version of DrFu for the Mac is available as a Disk Image. In the image is a single folder, called DrFu. Please drag the whole folder to somewhere on your computer. (And remember where you dragged it.) Inside that folder, you should see two things: a copy of GIMP (with the DrFu extensions) and a copy of DrScheme (with the DrFu extensions). It is important to keep these two things inside the DrFu folder.

This experimental version requires an Intel-based Mac with OS X 10.4 or above. It is being developed and tested on Intel-based Macs running OS X 10.4

Starting DrFu on the Mac

To start DrFu on the Mac, you need to follow a more complex process than you do on the Grinnell Linux workstations.

Updating DrFu on the Mac

We tend to update DrFu daily and hope to update the disk image weekly. If you want more frequent updates (probably necessary for Grinnell students) or don't want to re-download the huge file, you can try the following:
