SamR's Schedule, Spring 2009

This is a rough draft of my schedule for Spring 2008. As with all of my schedules, it is subject to frequent change and may only vaguely approximate my actual schedule.

I am on leave this year. Hence, my schedule is less detailed than usual. Most days, I do research in the lab from 8:00 to 3:00 p.m. (with a lunch break in the middle). I spend time with my family after 3:00 p.m. I do additional research in the evening, but that's even more up in the air.

Meetings

• Convocation: A campus-wide lecture, usually of general interest.
• Thursday Extras: Talks, movies, lessons, etc, primarily aimed at undergraduates.

Other

• Open: Sorting through mail, doing a little research or programming, catching up on class preparation, running errands, fixing Web pages, etc. etc.
• Organization: Attempting to organize the chaos that is my office.
• Research: When I hope to get some work done on one of many research and writing projects. Usually time for me to catch up on my class prep.
• Kids: Watching my kids, who get done with school at about 3:15 each day.

Lunchtime

• Michelle: Lunch with my wife.
• Math/Stats Talks: Talks sponsored by the department of Mathematics and Statistics.
• Department Meeting: The Computer Science department meets every week on Tuesdays to discuss departmental issues.
• Science Teaching: A discussion group on science teaching that meets on alternate Wednesdays.
• Faculty Lunch: The regular Wednesday lunch in faculty house which I try, but often fail, to attend.
• CS Lunch A weekly lunch of CS faculty and students.
