Attendees at the SIGCSE 2002 session on the SIGCSE Committee Initiative identified several general issues related to computer science education:

• How to attract grad students into CS Ed by looking at the issue of the value of publications in this field (is there such a thing as a "tier one" CS Ed paper?)

• Definition of one or more specific areas for research (perhaps with some possible research questions)
