``My dear -- we are all sorry --''

Choose one of the papers you wrote in the first half of the semester and revise it, correcting all of the errors and improving its structure and content.

Write up your answer and have it ready to turn in at the beginning of class on October 31. It should be legibly typed or set, double-spaced, with ample margins (I recommend an inch and a quarter at top, bottom, and sides). If it runs to more than one page, each page after the first should bear your surname and a page number in the upper right-hand corner. If you haven't yet figured out how to make your word processor number the pages for you in this way automatically, take the time to look it up in the manual, ask a friend or a user consultant, or call up the help desk.
