Summary: This is the Democratic Leadership Council's “New Democrat” platform for 2006. The main points:

• Adding 100,000 troops to the armed forces.
• Requiring colleges to allow military recruiters on campus.
• Systematizing ratings for sexual content across media.
• Establishing a “voluntary” program of universal service (i.e., bringing back the draft).
• Magically creating manufacturing jobs, producing “energy-efficient products”.
• Banning gerrymandering.

The authors courageously come out in support of “bedrock values like faith, family, country, community, personal responsibility, and hard work.”
