Sorenson, Roy. A brief history of the paradox: philosophy and the labyrinths of the mind. Oxford: Oxford University Press, 2003. ISBN 0-19-515903-9.
Summary: A history of Western philosophy, emphasizing the parts that can be regarded as originating in paradox of in metaphysical or logical accounts of inconsistency. Since analytic philosophy fits this description much more closely than Continental philosophy, this book reads very much like an analytic philosopher's text for a course in the history of philosophy, though livelier and more anecdotal than most.
