Summary: A number of conservatives and Republicans have finally begun to express some doubts about George Bush's divinity. The author welcomes their long-delayed enlightenment and understands why they feel a certain self-indulgent pride. However, she points out that Bush is far too dim, stubborn, lazy, and resentful of criticism to pay any attention to these weighty intellects. Moreover, having created both Bush and the policies on which his decisions are founded, they cannot plausibly disavow those decisions now that their catastrophic consequences are upon us.
