Jones, Pamela. “The second class action lawsuit over Microsoft's WGA.” Groklaw, July 5, 2006.
Summary: An engineering company has filed another class-action lawsuit agains Microsoft over its Windows Genuine Advantage spyware. This one charges that Microsoft violated not only the Consumer Protection Act of the state of Washington, but also a federal law, the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act, which prohibits unauthorized access to obtain information by means of interstate communication.
The plaintiffs are seeking a jury trial, and some of the Groklaw commenters are having fun imagining what the voir dire will be like.
