Summary: The creators of a utility that strips the Windows digital restrictions management from a music file point out that their product actually benefits Microsoft's, by making music-download services much more attractive to customers.

Unfortunately, Microsoft can apparently get even more money, at least in the short term, by doing their utmost to impede their customers' attempts to transfer downloaded music files to portable devices. Music companies need DRM and are willing to pay the good folks at Microsoft to keep plugging holes in their implementation of it.
