Faux, Jeff. The global class war: how America's bipartisan elite lost our future -- and what it will take to win it back. Hoboken, New Jersey: John Wiley & Sons, 2006. ISBN 978-0-471-69761-9.
Summary: The free-trade agreements and “globalization” policies of the last quarter century have enabled multinational corporations and rich elites in many countries to seize and control the wealth generated by the global economy, excluding, and often exploiting, working-class and middle-class contributors to that wealth. They have used the resulting economic power to advance their own immediate interests, in a way that will be ruinous for everyone in the medium and long term.
In order to oppose these policies and gradually reverse the damage that they have done and will do, working- and middle-class Americans should ally themselves politically with working- and middle-class people in other countries (initially, with Canadians and Mexicans in particular), rather than simply supporting American business elites.
