Consider subjects you want to build upon (perhaps for a major)
Consider some new subjects to explore
Bring results of your language placement exams/conferences
Be prepared to discuss your academic interests and priorities, as we start
planning course preferences
Expect to talk to faculty in other departments, if questions arise
Work with instructor to fill out registration form
Be sure to turn in your registration form to the Registrar's Office BEFORE
3:45 pm on Tuesday!!!
Wednesday: Registration Conversations at 3:00 pm in Harris Center
About 2:00 pm, check your schedule of classes using Pioneer Web.
If your schdule has the tutorial plus three 4-credit courses that you are
comfortable with, then you are done!
If you did not get three 4-credit courses (beyond the tutorial) or if you
are not comfortable with one or more courses on your schedule, plan to
attend registation at 3:00 pm in Harris.
See me when you arrive; we will work through whatever troubles need to be
resolved.
Work with one other student in the tutorial to find a recent news article
(within the past week) that suggests something of popular image of
computing (what computer science is, what computing folks do, or how
computers are used).
