• Amicable departmental consensus, with proposal written last spring

• Restructuring has three main advantages:

  • resolves administrative constraints
  • provides enhanced visibility for mathematics, statistics, and computer science
  • simplifies some college policies

• Restructuring affects Faculty Handbook:

  • Only change adjusts listing of departments in Science Division on page 6
  • Replace "Mathematics and Computer Science" by "Computer Science, Mathematics and Statistics"
    (this even gets the alphabetization right)
