Some History
Status:
The Iowa Undergraduate Computer Science Consortium is an informal group of faculty members from Iowa colleges and universities.
Purpose:
To promote communication among CS faculty and facilitate discussion of common problems and issues.
Some Motivations
Many schools are located within the state of Iowa.
Computer science faculty have many common problems and opportunities.
Iowa is about the right geographical area, so that a meeting in the middle part of the state is within a few hours drive.
While Iowa sometimes may seem removed from centers of activity, many motivated, energetic, and insightful people live here.
