Meetings

• Meetings are held about about once a year
• To allow convenient travel,
  • sessions are held on Saturdays,
  • the location has generally be in the central part of the state to facilitate travel from anywhere in Iowa
  • sessions typically start between 9:30 and 10:00 and finish about 3:30,
  • program includes a series of talks and discussions on a range of topics.
• A modest charge covers meal costs (breaks, lunch)
• Speakers are local to minimize (eliminate) expenses

• A list serve facilitates discussion among members of the Consortium.

Viability

• The current situation could continue for the foreseeable future
  
• Requirements:
  • Volunteer leader for each year
  • Institution willing to host
  • Faculty willing to attend
  • Local faculty willing to lead sessions
