The Tandy 4000 was introduced in 1987 by the Radio Shack Corporation. This computer was mostly IBM-compatible, so that many programs written for an IBM PC could be run on the Tandy 4000. The Tandy 400 used the Intel 80386 processing chip, and a standard configuration came with 2 megabytes of 80-nanosecond RAM. Its listed price was $3799.
